World News: After the Pahalgam terror attack, India has suspended the Indus Water Treaty by taking tough steps against Pakistan. This decision has caused a stir under the government and military leadership of Pakistan. Amidst the possibility of water crisis, Pakistan pleaded from the United Nations to the World Bank, but now it has got a shock from there too.
World Bank President Ajay Banga made it clear that his role regarding the Indus Water Treaty is just a "mediated and monitoring". He reinforted the ongoing speculation in the media and said -
"The World Bank is not a side nor we have any decisionful rights. We can only play the role of an arbitrator under the agreement. Pakistan should not remain in the confusion that we can put any kind of pressure on India."
Operation Sindoor of India has already shaken Pakistan. After the April 22 terror attack, India destroyed dozens of terrorist hideouts in retaliation. Pakistan has not given any accurate response to this attack so far, on the contrary, there have been failed attempts to carry out missiles and drone attacks on its behalf.
On Thursday night, Pakistan fired drones and missiles targeting many cities in India, but India's S-400 and Akash missile defense system destroyed all attacks in the air. Apart from this, Pakistan's JF-17 and F-16 fighter jets have also been killed in Indian counter-attacks.
It is a clear message of India that now a strict stance will be taken not only on the border but also on the water and diplomacy front.
