Parvathaneni Harish (Social Media)
International News: On Friday, India made a statement at the United Nations that challenged the international silence on terrorism for years. India said in clear words, a country that fosters terrorism cannot be entitled to talk about humanity.
India's Permanent Representative Ambassador Parvathaneni Harish's speech at the open debate of the United Nations Security Council was a warning—not only for Pakistan, but for all those forces that encourage terrorism with diplomatic silence.
Harish said, "Pakistan has made terrorism a tool of foreign policy for years. From the Mumbai attack to the brutal killing of innocent tourists in Pahalgam, India has felt the blood that Pakistan tries to hide." He stressed that the real face of Pakistan is the one that calls the gunmen martyrs and sends officers to their funerals, and on the other hand talks about human rights on global forums.
India apprised the Security Council that in early May, the Pakistani army deliberately targeted Indian border villages. More than 20 Indian civilians were killed and more than 80 injured in this barbaric attack. Pakistan did not refrain from attacking temples, gurudwaras, and hospitals as well. This was not just a ceasefire violation; it was a crime against humanity.
Ambassador Harish exposed the basic nature of Pakistan's policy, where no distinction is made between terrorists and civilians. He said, "It does not befit a country that considers terrorists as heroes and uses civilians as shields to lecture on human rights."
India said that attacks on civilians, hospitals, and religious places are not only morally shameful but also a blatant violation of international humanitarian laws. India appealed to the United Nations that now the time has come for the world to abandon double standards and unite against terror.
This sharp attack by India was not just on Pakistan—it was also a question mark on the global system, which ignores terrorism by calling it a 'local problem.' Harish said, "If you remain silent on terrorism today, then tomorrow terrorism will knock on your land."
This assertiveness of India on the UN platform shows that now it is ready to give not only statements but also international warnings for the safety of its people. This was not just a reply—it was a new beginning, where India made it clear that now no country can wear a mask on the platform of humanity by becoming a dealer of terror.
