An Indian YouTuber known as On Road Indian travelled to China in November as part of his travel vlog series. In one of his videos, he clearly stated that Arunachal Pradesh is an inseparable part of India. This statement reportedly angered Chinese authorities. According to the blogger, he was targeted solely because of this comment. He maintained that his vlog reflected basic facts. However, Chinese officials treated it as a political provocation. The incident has once again exposed Beijing’s sensitivity on territorial truth.
The incident occurred on 16 November 2025 at Shanghai Pudong International Airport. When the blogger reached the immigration counter, officers checked his passport and placed a sticker on it. Soon after, additional officials were called. He was escorted to a separate area without any explanation. For nearly two hours, no information was shared with him. The silence and uncertainty created fear. He realised something was seriously wrong.

The blogger was taken to a closed room where his mobile phone and electronic devices were confiscated. He was not allowed to make calls or contact the Indian embassy. The most disturbing part was the treatment he described. For nearly fifteen hours, he was denied food and even drinking water. Despite repeated requests, officials remained unresponsive. The experience felt like psychological pressure rather than routine questioning. He later described it as mentally exhausting.
This is not the first time China has reacted aggressively over Arunachal Pradesh. In earlier cases, Indian citizens from Arunachal were stopped or questioned by Chinese immigration. In one instance, a woman was denied entry because her passport listed Arunachal as her birthplace. Such actions reflect China’s refusal to accept established reality. India has consistently stated that Arunachal Pradesh is an integral part of the country. Beijing’s repeated objections continue to fuel diplomatic tension.
After nearly fifteen hours, Chinese officials returned with a final decision. The blogger was informed that he would not be allowed to enter China. He was ordered to return to India immediately. No written reason or formal explanation was provided. The decision was abrupt and unilateral. For the blogger, the incident became an unforgettable experience. It highlighted the risks of speaking plain facts in politically sensitive regions.
After returning to India, the blogger released a detailed video about his ordeal. He expressed hope that the video would reach Indian and Chinese diplomatic authorities. He stated clearly that he would not apologise for speaking the truth. Arunachal Pradesh, he said, is and will remain part of India. The issue, he stressed, is no longer personal. It raises serious questions about freedom of expression, sovereignty, and cross-border conduct.
This case goes beyond a single travel vlogger. It underlines the fragile nature of India-China relations. It also shows how political narratives can impact ordinary travellers. The incident may push India to raise the matter diplomatically. For many, it stands as a reminder that territorial truth remains non-negotiable. Arunachal Pradesh remains India’s sovereign land, regardless of external pressure.
