Middle East Crisis: Iran Launches Major Strike On US Military Base, Several American Soldiers Injured

Tehran/Washington: The situation in West Asia has worsened again. There has been a direct conflict between Iran and America. Reports are that Iran attacked the American military base in Kuwait with missiles and drones. Some American soldiers have been injured in this attack. American weapons have also been damaged. Both sides are making their own claims.

Was the American base attacked?

According to reports, Iran fired ballistic missiles and drones towards the US base in Kuwait. The air defense systems of America and Kuwait shot down most of the missiles in the air. But debris from some missiles fell inside the base. Some American soldiers have been injured by this debris. American officials believe that this attack was carried out to avenge America's recent actions.

How much damage was caused in the attack?

There is news in the media that some major American military equipment has been destroyed in this attack. MQ-9 Reaper drone is being discussed the most. It is being said that this drone has been damaged in the attack by Iran. However, the US Army has not yet openly admitted how much damage was caused. Some reports are also saying that Iran's goal was to stop American drone operations.

What did America do first?  

Just before this attack, America had taken action in Bandar Abbas area of southern Iran. Bombs were dropped on drone control centers and military bases there. The US described it as a "defensive attack". American officials said that Iranian drones were posing a threat to American troops and ships. After this action, Iran retaliated.

What does Iran say?

Iran's Revolutionary Guards have given a statement that it was necessary to respond to America. Iran says that if America attacks again, the response will be more swift next time. Iran is just calling it a "warning." Officials say that we want peace but will respond to the attack.

Is the ceasefire going to be broken?

Talks were going on between Iran and America. Efforts for ceasefire were also being made. But these attacks have messed everything up. Experts believe that such counterattacks weaken the hope for peace. Still, both countries are saying that we will not stop talks. 

Why is the world in tension?

Half of the world's oil comes through the Strait of Hormuz. This sea route is very important. If war breaks out here, oil will become expensive. The entire world's trade will be shaken. For this reason, every country's eyes are fixed on America and Iran. At present, rhetoric is going on from both sides. No one knows when the situation will improve.
