Earlier, citing Iranian sources, reports indicated that Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs, Kazem Gharibabadi, is also likely to participate in the BRICS summit later this week. It is worth mentioning that India officially assumed the BRICS chairmanship from Brazil on January 1st of this year. This marks the fourth time that India is presiding over this influential bloc. Previously, India hosted the summits in 2012, 2016, and 2021. On April 29, Russia announced that its Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov, would participate in the BRICS Foreign Ministers' meeting being held in India.
