Modern day, Antoinette!

Some referred to Maryam Nawaz's action as "mindless and thoughtless," while others likened it to the opulent and naive French queen Marie Antoinette's decision to "let them eat bread. Over-the-top ostentation without regard for the plight of the underprivileged. more than others in terms of her image upkeep. I hope she ends up the same way," a Reddit member wrote.

Pakistan's food inflation

The cash-starved country of Pakistan is seeing its worst inflation in years. May had a record 48.65% inflation rate in Pakistan, mostly due to the highest food prices in South Asia. The devaluation of the Pakistan rupee, the trade deficit, and the high cost of raw materials are severely harming the food sector in Pakistan, which now imports wheat from East European nations.
