Washington: US President Donald Trump has once again threatened Iran ahead of a peace agreement. He stated that if Iran does not mend its ways, he would not hesitate to resume bombing. Trump also remarked that the US has not invested a single penny in Iran, so it has nothing to fear.
Regarding the peace agreement to be signed with Iran in Geneva, Trump clarified that it is not final; it is a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), and if he does not like it, hostilities—including gunfire and bombing—will resume. Notably, the MoU for the peace agreement between the US and Iran is scheduled to be signed on June 19 in Geneva, with Pakistan hosting the event.
Trump said, "If they don't behave properly, we will start firing at them again." When asked if the agreement was "final," Trump replied, "No, it is not final." He added, "It is a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). And if I don't like it, we will start firing and bombing them." Trump further stated, "If I don't like it, or if they don't behave properly, we will start dropping bombs right in the middle of their heads."
Following a long period of tension and conflict between Iran and the US, a significant initiative towards peace has emerged. Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi has announced that a new round of talks regarding the final agreement between the two nations will begin on Friday. Prior to this, both countries finalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to end the war, which is expected to be officially signed on Friday. US-Iran peace agreement to take place in Switzerland
It is worth noting that on Monday, following weeks of negotiations, the US, Pakistan, and Iran announced the finalization of the Memorandum of Understanding to end the war. It will be formally signed in Switzerland on Friday. On February 28, Israel and the US carried out joint strikes on several Iranian cities, including Tehran. In response, Iran launched missile and drone attacks targeting Israel and US bases in the region.
