International news: In a recent interview, White House advisor Peter Navarro criticized India for its trade relations with Russia. Navarro saw India buying Russian oil at concessional rates as providing financial aid to Moscow's war machinery and called it a heavy burden for American taxpayers. He also appealed to India that if it stops buying oil from Russia, it can get a 25% discount in American tariffs.

This statement has come at a time when the US has imposed a 50% tariff on Indian goods. Due to which Western pressure on India has increased. Despite this, India has continued the process of buying oil from Russia. Which has become a matter of concern for the White House.

Statement by Peter Navarro

Peter Navarro said in his statement that I am surprised because Narendra Modi is a mature and great leader. India is a strong democracy, and it is run by mature people. Still, everyone in America is suffering losses due to what India is doing. He also added that the US economy is suffering losses due to India's high tariffs, due to which American workers and businesses are also suffering huge financial losses.

Anger over India's oil purchase

Navarro blamed the Indian government for buying oil from Russia. He said that due to the purchase of cheap oil from Russia, Russia is getting the money needed for the war. Which it spends to strengthen its war machinery even more. This causes more violence against Ukraine. He said that this money of Russia is ultimately used by the Russians in the form of weapons against the Ukrainians.

25% tariff discount offered

The White House advisor said that if India stops buying oil from Russia, it can get a 25% tariff exemption from the US. This solution is quite simple; India just has to stop buying oil from Russia. Navarro also said that offering tariff exemption to India would be a right step. Because this can increase cooperation between the two countries.

India's stance and Navarro's disappointment

Navarro expressed disappointment over India's stance and said that Indians are very arrogant. They say we have sovereignty. We can buy oil from whoever we want, but the result is that America is suffering huge losses. He alleged that Indian refineries buy oil from Russia and process it and then make huge profits from it, which ultimately helps Russia financially for the war.

Navarro Calls It Modi’s War

After which Navarro also said that this whole situation is full of madness. Modi's war and increasing the burden on the taxpayers of America is incomprehensible. The path of peace passes through New Delhi. By buying cheap oil from Russia, India is in a way funding Russia's war, which is affecting the whole world.
