Iran's supreme leader Mojtaba Khamenei Unconscious in Qom, Unable to Make Decisions: Report (X)
New Delhi: A new intelligence report on Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has created a stir globally. The report claims that Khamenei is currently unconscious and is not in a position to make important decisions for the country. It is said that he is undergoing treatment in Qom City. However, there has been no official confirmation of these claims yet.
According to the report, a memo prepared on the basis of American and Israeli intelligence inputs claims that Mojtaba Khamenei is suffering from a serious medical condition. It has been said that at present he is unable to perform the responsibilities related to his post. Regional partner countries are also said to have shared this information.
Initial reports said he suffered minor injuries in an attack. But in the latest report his condition has been described as much more serious. It also says that he is not in a position to make any decisions.
Mojtaba Khamenei has not been seen in public since assuming office. The statements issued by him were also not given directly by him but were read through TV anchors. For this reason, questions regarding his health are continuously increasing.
Qom City has also been mentioned in the report, where he is said to be undergoing treatment. This is the same place where preparations for the funeral of his father Ali Khamenei are also said to be underway. There is also talk of construction of a big tomb there.
This development has come to light at a time when tensions between Iran, America and Israel are at their peak. In recent times, military attacks, retaliation and diplomatic pressure have increased continuously, due to which the situation has become more complicated.
Meanwhile, America has also taken a tough stance. Donald Trump has warned Iran that if an agreement is not reached within the stipulated time frame, large-scale attacks can be carried out. It also talks about targeting important infrastructure.
Amidst the tension, Iran has also put forward a peace proposal at its level, in which it has come to light that messages were sent through Pakistan. However, there has been no indication of any concrete solution yet.
