International News:  After developing nuclear weapons, North Korea has now shifted its focus to another deadly arsenal—chemical weapons. Kim Jong Un has personally authorized the mass production of these toxic agents to gain strategic advantage in future conflicts. According to local media outlet Daily NK, the country has already begun the manufacturing process, marking a serious escalation in its military preparedness.

The special thing is that ballistic missiles carrying chemical weapons have already been tested in North Korea. It is believed that this autocratic regime of North Korea considers chemical weapons an important strategic deterrent; that is why the process of its research, development, and production has been accelerated.

Chemical weapons are the most dangerous

Chemical weapons are considered to be the most powerful weapons to be used in preparation for a full-fledged war. Depending on the situation of war and conflict, they can also be used along with nuclear weapons. According to a report published in Daily NK, using chemical weapons along with nuclear bombs can completely weaken the enemy.

South Korea will be the first target

It is believed that North Korea's first potential target will be South Korea. Technically, there has been tension between the two countries since 1950. Recently, Kim Jong Un had threatened to attack South Korea with a nuclear bomb if provoked. A military document in Daily NK has confirmed that North Korea considers chemical weapons as the ultimate means of immediate response before the use of nuclear weapons.

North Korea has 50 nuclear weapons

North Korea has publicly stated several times that it has 50 nuclear weapons; now it is claiming to have developed deadly chemical weapons. South Korea is also estimating this. According to Seoul, North Korea has a stockpile of 2500 to 5 thousand tons of chemical weapons, from which cyanide, mustard, phosgene, sarin, and VX can be made. Among these, VX is the most dangerous chemical, which was used to kill Kim's half-brother, Kim Jong Nam, in 2017.

1,000 kg of sarin can kill 125,000 people

A report was published by the Rand Corporation in America in 2022, in which concern was also raised about North Korea's chemical weapons program. It was also claimed in this report that one thousand kilograms of sarin can kill about 125,000people. The special thing is that the Nuclear Chemical Defense Bureau has also been created to manage North Korea's chemical weapons. It is under the army and oversees seven chemical weapons brigades.
