Germany: A mass shooting at a youth welfare facility in Stade, northern Germany, has left six people dead. Following a major security operation, police arrested two individuals, including the suspected shooter. While a definitive motive has not been established, authorities currently believe the attack stemmed from a personal dispute rather than extremist or political motives.
According to preliminary reports, four women and one man had been killed in the attack. But later, police confirmed that the sixth adult also died in the hospital. Police had also requested residents to stay away from the area as officers searched for those involved. Authorities had later confirmed that two people had been detained. Officers had ordered that the two occupants out of the car and detained them after making them lie face down on the road.
