International News: Pakistan's army chief, Asim Munir, started reciting a verse from the Quran during an interview. In fact, when the journalist asked Munir a question about Imran Khan, who is in jail, the army chief quoted the Quran in response to the question. Munir has been in the news earlier also for reading verses from the Quran. Before the Pahalgam attack, a statement by Munir went viral in which he was justifying the two-nation theory through a verse from the Quran.
Famous Pakistani journalist Sohail Warraich has interviewed Asim Munir in Brussels. Sohail asked Munir if there is any preparation to release Imran Khan from jail. On this Munir said that he should publicly apologize for 9 May. Munir said that we believe in Islam, and it is written in the Quran that those who apologize are successful. Those who do not apologize are unsuccessful.
According to Munir, the Quran says that everything will be fine if you apologize from the heart, so if Imran does this, then everything will be fine for him. Forgiveness is mentioned in Surah Hud (11:13) of the Quran.
In response to a question, Munir said that I have no intention of becoming the president. According to Munir, he is fine being the protector of Pakistan. Munir said that all this is a rumor, which I completely reject. Pakistan's army chief praised Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
Munir also made some big claims about debt-ridden Pakistan. Munir says that Pakistan has a lot of minerals. Soon we will be free from debt. Munir also talked about America and China in the interview. Munir says that Pakistan definitely tries to please both but does not sacrifice one of them.
