A new biography called “The Rise and Fall of the House of York” by Andrew Lownie says that Prince Andrew had a strong interest in sex. The book also says he was part of group sex parties at a hotel in Bangkok and had close ties with Jeffrey Epstein, who was a convicted sex offender.
According to Lownie, Epstein referred to both of them as “serial sex addicts”, saying Andrew’s choices were so extreme he considered Andrew more perverse than himself.
The book alleges that during one weekend in Bangkok, Andrew arranged for at least 40 women to visit his hotel room “Often as soon as one left, another would arrive.” Victims and witnesses say he slept with over a thousand women, ranging from porn stars to hotel staff. A 20-year-old model recounted that he pushed for kinky activity, told her he had an open marriage, and then ignored her after their encounter.
Palace masseuse Emma Gruenbaum described him as a “constant sex pest”, recalling that he behaved inappropriately even during therapy sessions. Former palace staff also shared warnings one woman said she was told to stay away from him because of his behaviour. She added that he sometimes entered staff-only areas, and though many knew about his behaviour, no major action was taken.
Lownie’s book also alleges that at a social event in 2000, Donald Trump once handed Andrew a list of masseuses after a crude discussion about women. Another serious allegation comes from Virginia Giuffre, who claimed Andrew abused her when she was 17. Andrew denies the claim, but he reportedly settled the civil lawsuit for $16 million in 2022.
