International News: Russian President Vladimir Putin is arriving in New Delhi for a two-day visit and will stay in ITC Maurya’s Grand Presidential Suite. The suite is around 4,700 square feet, almost as big as a basketball court. It includes lavish interiors designed specially for high-profile state guests. This is the same suite where world leaders like Donald Trump, Joe Biden and Bill Clinton have stayed earlier.

The size and comfort of the suite make it a preferred choice for global heads of state. The hotel is already being guarded with full security arrangements for the Russian delegation. Staff have been strictly instructed to maintain privacy and secrecy.

Two Bedrooms And Elite Facilities

The Grand Presidential Suite has two large bedrooms that give complete privacy to VIP guests. It features a reception lounge, a spacious living room, a private study, and a twelve-seater dining room for official meals. A personal mini-spa and gym are also part of the suite to maintain comfort during long visits. The decor reflects Indian culture with modern luxury woven into every corner. Exclusive butlers and top-class service remain available round the clock. Even the furniture is arranged to support confidential diplomatic talks inside the suite.

Famous Restaurants Loved Worldwide

ITC Maurya is home to iconic restaurants like Bukhara and Dum Pukht. Many American Presidents have publicly praised Bukhara’s food during their India trips. Putin is expected to enjoy the rich hospitality and royal Indian flavors during his stay. Special cooks and security-screened staff will serve the meals. The hotel kitchens have already been checked by Indian and Russian teams for safety. These restaurants make the stay even more memorable for foreign leaders who visit Delhi for world-level discussions.

Security Prepared Like A Fortress

Multiple Indian and Russian security agencies have taken control of the hotel area. Advanced scanning systems and full surveillance are being used to secure every floor. No outsider is allowed anywhere near the Presidential Suite level. Security plans are constantly updated based on Putin’s movement schedule. Delhi Police has sealed the surrounding roads with high alert deployment. The hotel has made no public comment due to secrecy but all teams are working at maximum readiness.

Delhi Pollution A New Concern

As Delhi is currently facing very high air pollution, foreign teams checked the hotel’s air purification systems. Indoor air quality is being maintained to protect guests from harmful pollution. Safety checks were also carried out in other five-star hotels booked for delegates. Smooth transportation routes are being planned to avoid public exposure to polluted zones. Environmental monitoring will continue throughout the visit to ensure healthy stay conditions.

Delegation Stays Across Five-Stars

Putin is accompanied by a large Russian delegation including seven key ministers. Because of heavy demand, rooms have also been booked in nearby Taj Palace hotel. Almost all central Delhi five-star hotels like Taj Mahal, Oberoi, Leela and Maurya are fully booked this week. Room prices have shot up from ₹50,000–₹80,000 to ₹85,000–₹1.3 lakh per night. Hotel teams are working under strict confidentiality because high-level global guests are inside the city.

Busy Diplomatic Schedule In Delhi

Putin will land in Delhi at 6:35 pm on December 4 and later attend a private dinner hosted by PM Modi at 7 Lok Kalyan Marg. On December 5, both leaders will meet again for important India-Russia agreements on defence, energy, technology, space and strategic cooperation. Putin will also visit Rajghat to pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi. A ceremonial Guard of Honour will take place at Rashtrapati Bhavan in the morning. Later in the afternoon, both leaders will address India-Russia Business Forum at Bharat Mandapam. President Droupadi Murmu will host a state banquet in the evening before Putin departs for Russia at night.
