Heightened Regional Tensions
Operation Sindoor targeted terror camps in Pakistan and PoK, triggering Pakistan’s retaliatory missile and drone attacks on Indian cities, all thwarted by India’s air defenses. The volatile situation, particularly along the Line of Control (LoC) in Kupwara, has led to increased military activity and civilian evacuations. The US State Department cited “terrorism and potential for armed conflict” as reasons to avoid Pakistan and PoK, while urging caution in Jammu and Kashmir due to sporadic violence.

Specific Travel Warnings
Israel’s Foreign Ministry advised its citizens to leave Pakistan immediately and refrain from traveling to PoK or Jammu and Kashmir, emphasizing risks near border areas.
