US-Iran Peace Deal: Trump and Ghalibaf Sign Historic Virtual MoU Ahead of Friday Ceremony (AI)
Washington/Tehran: United States of America and Iran, both the nations have signed an MoU, which was awaited for long. In the virtual meeting, officials from both the nations have been joined and signed the document virtually. Consideration of formal proceedings, there will be an offline meet later on Friday.
According to reports, from Washington, US President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance both were virtually connected and signed the Memorandum of Understanding with Iran. However, Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf signed the document on behalf of the Iranian side.
Following the virtual MoU, a formal signing ceremony will be on Friday. While, a detailed information of agreement are expected to be released in next 48 hours.
This MoU are expected to lay the foundation of peace in the region, between the USA and Iran. It comes after multiple hits and forth, and several joint strikes on Iran.
After signing the memorandum, it is expected that the peace in the region may established. The most immediate thing can be the opening of Hormoz strait.
The officials spoke to the media and said, "You will see significant increase in traffic in the Strait of Hormuz, actually starting already, and that will ramp up slowly over time"
"We probably won't return to normal in two weeks, but we will see a significant increase in strait traffic," the official added.
This development could lead the energy and fuel crisis across the world. The energy sector facing constraints and leading to inflation, which directly affecting to every segment of economies.
This landmark framework establishes a vital path toward de-escalation following four months of intense conflict triggered by February's joint US-Israeli military strikes and subsequent Iranian retaliatory attacks. While this agreement aims to halt hostilities on multiple regional fronts, complex negotiations regarding Iran's nuclear program remain unresolved and will be addressed separately in future talks.
