Washington: US President Donald Trump on Sunday made a major revelation regarding a "massive complex" being built by the military under the White House ballroom. According to reports the underground military complex will be a bunker and command center, which will replace the old emergency operations center.

Information regarding the complex has come to light due to a lawsuit.

What did Trump say?

While talking to reporters on Air Force One, Donald Trump said that, "the information has come out recently because of a stupid lawsuit that was filed, but the military is building a massive complex under the ballroom, and that’s under construction, and we’re doing very well."

"So we’re ahead of schedule," Trump further said.

What is Trump's ballroom project?

The White House ballroom is seen as Trump's vanity project, set to cost $400 million. For this, the East Wing of the White House was demolished in October.
The new underground complex will replace a military bunker built beneath the East Wing during World War II for the president.

According to reports, the new underground complex will also have arrangements to protect against nuclear attacks and drone attacks.

Will the ballroom to cover underground complex?

Donald Trump, while talking to reporters said that the ballroom will essentially serve as a cover for what's being built underneath.

"The ballroom essentially becomes a shed for what’s being built under," the US President said.

Did Trump show the Pictures of the ballroom?

Trump also showed a photo of the ballroom design, which replaces the original East Wing and said that the new space is "almost a twin to the White House."

While showing another photo of the ballroom design, Trump said that, “I thought I'd do this now because it's easier.”

Trump said the ballroom will be bulletproof and drone-proof. It will take up most of the new East Wing building.

"I’m so busy that I don’t have time to do this, but I’m fighting wars and other things. But this is very important, because this is going to be with us for a long time, and it’s going to be, I think it’ll be the greatest ballroom anywhere in the world,” Trump said.
