New Delhi: Verizon Wireless, one of the largest telecommunications providers in the United States, is currently experiencing a nationwide outage, leaving millions of subscribers without access to cellular connectivity. Affected users have reported being unable to make phone calls, send text messages, or access mobile data services. The issue appears to have started in the morning, around 10 a.m. ET, and continues to impact Verizon customers across the country.

Surge in complaints

The outage has been widely reported on Downdetector, a website that tracks service disruptions, where complaints surged shortly after 10 a.m. ET. Many users also took to social media platforms, sharing their frustration over the sudden loss of service.

Lack of official communication

Verizon has yet to issue an official statement addressing the cause of the outage or provide an estimated timeline for when service will be restored. As of now, customers are left in the dark, with no information on when they can expect normal services to resume.

iPhone users experience "SOS Only" mode

For iPhone users, the outage has triggered "SOS only" mode, as indicated in the status bar of their devices. According to Apple’s support documentation, this means the phone is not connected to the cellular network but can still be used to make emergency calls if needed.

Customers await resolution

As the outage persists, Verizon customers are hoping for a swift resolution to what has become a major inconvenience across the country.
