Vladimir Putin warns Trump about Ukraine (X)
Putin warns Trump: Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that if the US decides to supply Ukraine with Tomahawk cruise missiles amid the war, it will seriously impact relations between Washington and Moscow. Putin's statement comes less than two months after meeting US President Donald Trump in Alaska. The Tomahawk missile is capable of striking targets up to 2,500 kilometers.
This statement comes at a time when the Russia-Ukraine War has been ongoing for 44 months. Experts believe that if Ukraine receives this missile, the war could enter a new and dangerous phase. So far, the United States and its allies have been prevented from providing Ukraine with long-range missiles for the attack on Russia, although Ukraine has been continuously demanding them.
Russia says that the Ukrainian army will be able to carry out an accurate attack within the Russian border with a long-range cruise missile. In such a situation, Russia's retaliation can be even more intense, which will increase the fierceness of war.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has appreciated Putin's proposal to limit the number of nuclear weapons. He said that it shows "positive thinking." Significantly, the New Start treaty between the two countries in 2010 is scheduled to end in 2026.
Last month, in September, Putin proposed renewing this treaty to the US and limiting Russia's nuclear weapons for one year. Responding to this, Trump praised Putin's stance and said that discussions on this issue would take place soon.
