New Delhi: The Israeli military has released a video of the attack on the underground bunker built for Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The video shows multiple bombs being dropped simultaneously around the bunker, and a cloud of smoke is visible after the bombs hit.

What has the Israeli military said?

The Israel Defense Forces tweeted, "50 Israeli Air Force fighter jets dismantled Ali Khamenei’s underground military bunker beneath the Iranian regime’s leadership compound in Tehran."

Early on February 28, Israeli fighter jets carried out a major attack in central Tehran, targeting an underground bunker built for Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. The Israeli Air Force stated that approximately 50 aircraft participated in the operation, based on input from Mossad.

Did Khamenei live there?

The Israeli military described the bunker as a secure emergency shelter. The bunker was intended to keep Khamenei safe during conflict. However, Khamenei never used it, as he had already been killed in earlier attacks during Operation 'Roaring Lion'. After his death, the bunker was used by other senior officials of the Iranian regime.

According to the Israeli Air Force, the Iranian regime spent years developing this underground facility to advance its military plans and promote its extremist and brutal ideology against Israel and the Western world.
