New Delhi: Just few days are left to celebrate India's 77th Republic Day. Beyond formal parades and ceremonies, many people prefer rangoli, a traditional floor art, to express patriotic pride and festive joy at homes and workplace.
Many people use the rangoli colours or flowers to design the Indian flag, Ashoka Chakra, lotus, peacock or minimal quote designs to decorate their house and workspace.
Ashoka Chakra patterns can be made with bold navy blue wheels circled by the tricolour bands, saffron, white and green.

Drawing the outlines of Indian map filled in with tricolour shades can catch the attraction of the visitors when placed near entrances.

India's national bird, Peacock, can add a different touch to the celebrations. The vibrant colours used in the designs will create a stunning look for living rooms or office halls.

In this modern era, people are ditching chemical powders and using marigolds, jasmine, and green leaves for a natural and eco-friendly floral creations.

For smaller spaces at home and office lobbies, simple tricolour borders and geometric patterns rangoli are the best.
Some rangolis including mandala shapes featuring "Vande Mataram" or "Satyameva Jayate" inscriptions are a great idea for school, homes and offices.
Paper decoration with saffron, white and green sheets is the easiest and pocket-friendly. Handmade paper fans, Ashoka Chakra cut-outs made from blue paper can be crafted easily at home.

Can use fairy lights with different decorative items like tricolor ribbons, dupattas, flag across the balconies and reception areas.
