Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann Hospitalized Amid Health Concerns During State’s Flood Crisis

Punjab News: The sudden hospitalization of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has created a buzz in the state’s political circles. As Punjab battles one of the worst flood situations in years, Mann’s health crisis has added to public concern and speculation. Around 20 districts of Punjab are badly affected by floods, leaving thousands of people homeless. Nearly 43 people have lost their lives in the calamity. Relief operations are underway, but the magnitude of damage is overwhelming, especially in rural areas.

According to reports, Bhagwant Mann had been unwell for the past two days. Initially, he was resting at home, but his condition worsened by Friday evening, forcing doctors to shift him to a private hospital for further treatment and monitoring.

Kejriwal Visits Mann, Assures Support

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor Arvind Kejriwal had visited Bhagwant Mann at his residence on September 4 after his health first started deteriorating. Kejriwal inquired about his well-being and assured him of full support during his recovery period.

Mann’s Flood Inspections

Despite his health issues, CM Mann had been actively visiting flood-affected regions. On September 4, he directed that each village should be assigned a gazetted officer to maintain direct contact with residents and resolve their problems quickly and efficiently.

Relief Efforts By State

The Punjab government has been operating relief camps and mobilizing resources to help victims. Mann had earlier praised the role of officers and volunteers, urging them to stay in constant touch with villagers and ensure that no family is left unattended.

Concern For Leadership Continuity

With Mann’s hospitalization, questions are being raised about the continuity of flood relief leadership. However, party officials have assured that all necessary steps will be taken and the Chief Minister’s recovery remains a top priority for the government.
