Four people, including two toddlers, died in a fire incident that occured at a residential building in Delhi's Shahdara District on Thursday.
The fire incident took place is a residential house, which has 4 floors and there is parking on the ground floor. The fire started from the parking area and the entire building was engulfed in smoke and till now a total of four deaths have been reported. However, after receiving information about the fire, the fire brigade and policemen reached the spot and the fire could be controlled.

The deceased have been identified as Manoj, aged 30, Suman, aged 28, and two children. Apart from them, a total of 11 injured in this incident were admitted to Hedgewar Hospital for treatment.

Police said they received information about a massive fire in Shastri Nagar area of Shahdara around 5:20 am. Delhi Fire Service was immediately informed. A local police team, four fire engines, ambulance and PCR van were sent to the spot, the official said. A senior police officer said, 'We received information from the hospital that four people - two children and a married couple - died of suffocation.
Further investigation is underway.
