Amaravati will be new capital of Andhra Pradesh, announces Chandrababu Naidu

The major development has come just a day before N Chandrababu Naidu is all set to take oath as chief minister of Andhra Pradesh.

Telugu Desam Chief (TDP) chief N Chandrababu Naidu (TDP) on Tuesday announced Amaravati as the new capital of Andhra Pradesh.

The announcement from the TDP chief has come after the NDA Legislative Party unanimously elected him as the alliance leader. The meeting was held at Vijayawada. K Pawan Kalyan, the chief of the Jana Sena Party proposed his name, which was supported by the BJP state president and other newly elected MP D Pundeswari.

Notably, the major development has come just a day before Naidu is all set to take oath as chief minister of Andhra Pradesh. The TDP is an ally and helped to form the NDA government after Lok Sabha Elections.
