Amit Shah Holds Marathon Meeting With Dharmendra Pradhan Amid CJP Protests In Delhi

New Delhi: On Monday, the first day of the monsoon session of Parliament, an important meeting took place between Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan for about three and a half hours. This meeting took place in Amit Shah's office in the Parliament House complex. However, official information about the issues discussed in the meeting has not been revealed yet.

This meeting took place at a time when thousands of protesters were trying to move towards Parliament during the 'Chalo Sansad' march of Cockroach Janata Party (CJP). The protesters are protesting against NEET paper leak, irregularities in the education system, reform in the examination system and demanding the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. This protest is going on at Jantar Mantar in Delhi since June 20 under the leadership of Cockroach Janata Party founder Abhijeet Dipke. CJP alleges that irregularities are continuously coming to light in the examination system and the students affected by the NEET-UG paper leak have not got justice.

Meanwhile, talks have also been initiated between the government and the CJP delegation. On behalf of the government, Union Health Minister JP Nadda and on behalf of CJP, Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka met at Dutva Bhavan. CJP representatives submitted their memorandum to JP Nadda. CJP has demanded from the government the release of hospitalized Sonam Wangchuk, resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, compensation of Rs 1 crore to the families of students who committed suicide after the NEET 2026 paper leak. CJP said, "We also demand that Delhi Police immediately stop using force on peaceful protesters, as our demands are legitimate and in line with the aspirations of the youth of India."

What was JP Nadda's appeal for Jantar Mantar protestors?

Union Health Minister JP Nadda posted on 'X' after meeting the CJP delegation, 'For the first time this morning, a proposal for talks with the government came from the protesters and our talks are going on since 11:50 AM. The meeting took place in a cordial atmosphere. There was a detailed verbal discussion with his delegation and a written petition was given to me by him at around 4 pm. I requested all the protesters to end their protest and help the administration in restoring normalcy.

What did Sonam Wangchuk say?

On the other hand, Sonam Wangchuk, who is admitted in the hospital, has said that if the government takes responsibility for the failures of the education system, if assurance is given to discuss the demands of CJP in the Parliament or if the MP comes to the hospital and gives assurance, then he will end his fast. CJP had called for 'Chalo Sansad' march on July 20, the first day of the monsoon session. Thousands of protesters came out of Jantar Mantar on Monday morning and tried to move towards Parliament. During this time, attempts were made to break the barricades at many places, after which the police released tear gas shells and also resorted to lathi charge. Security forces were successful in removing the protesters from around the Parliament House by noon.
