Annamalai Seeks Amit Shah Meeting After Talks With BJP Chief Amid Exit Rumours (X)
New Delhi: Speculation has intensified about the political future of former Tamil Nadu BJP president K. Annamalai. Huge posters put up by his supporters in Coimbatore are fueling rumors that he is preparing to launch his own political outfit with a nationalist plank after turning down all offers made by the BJP's central leadership
As per sources, Annamalai met BJP national secretary BL Santhosh and BJP president Nitin Nabin on Tuesday. The development come amid intense speculation over his political future following weeks of rumours about a possible new formation.
These posters, bearing slogans like "Our leader, come and lead us," were put up on major roads and public places ahead of Annamalai's birthday on June 4.
According to sources, Annamalai has refused to accept any position offered by the BJP, including potential central responsibilities or a Rajya Sabha berth. He has also declined on joining any existing political party in Tamil Nadu, including Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), and is instead preparing to launch an independent political outfit.
Although Annamalai has not publicly addressed the development, the reported move could mark a significant shift in Tamil Nadu's political landscape ahead of the next electoral cycle.
