Ayodhya Diwali Celebration: The process of making world records has started in Ayodhya before Deepotsav 2025. On Saturday, more than 21,000 people participated in the Saryu Aarti on the banks of the Saryu River, creating a Guinness World Record, breaking the previous record of 1,774. Guinness Book official Nischal Barot said the participants were counted through QR code scanning, and its official announcement will be made in front of the Chief Minister on Sunday.
Preparations are underway to create a new world record by lighting 29 lakh lamps by 30,000 volunteers at 56 ghats of Ram Ki Paidi in the ninth Deepotsav on Sunday. The Guinness Book team has completed the counting of lamps using drones, which will break the previous record of 26 lakh 11 thousand 101 lamps. Ayodhya has been decorated like a bride, and 1,100 indigenous drones will display in the sky figures of Ramayana scenes such as Jai Shri Ram, Dhanushdhari Ram, Sanjivani Parvat, Ram Setu, and Ram Mandir.
Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh said that in 2017, 1 lakh 71 thousand lamps were lit, and this time a record will be set with more than 26 lakh lamps, which is a symbol of faith in Lord Shri Ram. The Deepotsav AR app is available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, through which people can be a part of the festival by donating virtual lamps. This app is a confluence of spiritual heritage and innovation, which promotes cultural engagement among the youth.
This event is a symbol of spiritual enthusiasm along with strengthening the global identity of Ayodhya.
