POCSO Case: Union Minister Bandi Sanjay’s Son Sent to 14-Day Judicial Custody

Hyderabad: Bandi Bhagirath Sai, son of Minister of State for Home Sanjay Kumar, has been arrested in the POCSO case. After this the politics of Telangana have heated up. At midnight on Saturday, the police took Bhagirath before the magistrate. The court sent him to jail till 29 May. 25 year old Bhagirath is accused of sexually exploiting a 17 year old girl. As soon as the case comes to light, the opposition is attacking. The family is calling it a conspiracy.

The case opened on 8 May. The mother of the minor reached the police station. Said in the complaint that Bhagirath was in touch with his daughter and exploited her. Police registered a case under BNS and POCSO Act. Later, when the girl gave her statement, the police added more stringent sections.

Bhagirath has also given a complaint. Alleged that the girl's family was pressurizing her for marriage. If refused then ask for money. Threatened that he would be implicated in a false case.
