In December, the banks in India will remain closed for 18 days, and this includes all Sundays and fourth Saturday. The list of the holidays has been shared by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). However, some of the bank holidays are restricted to certain regions, while other are applicable across the country.
As per the notification of RBI, the bank holidays are segregated into three categories, including Holidays Under Negotiable Instruments Act, Banks' Closing of Accounts, and Real-Time Gross Settlement Holiday.
In addition to this, All India Bank Employees Association (AIEBA) has planned for a six-day strike.
