A shocking incident of double murder unfolded in central Bengaluru's Kumbarpet, involving the fatal stabbing of two elderly men, 50-year-old Suresh and 68-year-old Mahendra. The tragedy stemmed from a property dispute, with the alleged perpetrator, Badriprasad, confessing to the crime by calling the police control room immediately afterward.
The gruesome event occurred when Badriprasad visited a shop called Sri Hari Enterprises, owned by Suresh, and requested to speak with him. Upon confrontation, Badriprasad purportedly retrieved a button knife from his bag and inflicted multiple stab wounds on Suresh's neck. Hearing the commotion, Mahendra, a friend of Suresh, rushed to intervene but tragically met the same fate, succumbing to stab wounds inflicted by the accused.
Following the heinous act, Badriprasad reportedly contacted the police control room to confess his actions. Law enforcement from the Halasuru Gate police station promptly responded, and the accused surrendered himself at the scene.
Initial investigations revealed that the dispute revolved around the ownership of a four-floor building situated on the main road, which was subject to litigation. Badriprasad had gone to confront Suresh regarding this matter, leading to the fatal altercation.
Foresic teams were deployed to the murder site, and the Halasuru police have initiated legal proceedings, detaining Badriprasad for further interrogation as the investigation progresses.
