Karnataka: A 24-year-old woman, Suhasi Singh, has been found dead reportedly through self-immolation in Bengaluru. She had been tortured repeatedly by her uncle, Praveen Singh, according to the claims of the authorities, who apparently had recorded some intimate videos of her. That apparently is what sent Suhasi to her early death. On 12 January, the incident took place when Suhasi set herself ablaze using petrol at a private hotel close to Kundalahalli metro station. She succumbed to her injuries in the hospital due to severe burns resulting from the ignition.

Suhasi had gone to her uncle to clear out her uncle and brother-in-law difference and settle her problems, for the case.
