Bhopal: A soul-shaking case has come to light from Bhopal. A young man working in a factory, named Avesh Khan (resident of Hapur), has been arrested by the police. The allegations are that he befriended a girl by the name of 'Raja' after hiding his real identity, then physically assaulted her, made obscene videos and harassed her by blackmailing her.
Avesh had been living in the Katara Hills area of Bhopal for the last six years and worked in a factory. He became friends with a boy working there. Gradually he started meeting his family and also became close to the boy's 22-year-old sister. Initially everything seemed normal—talking, meeting—but then things went completely wrong.
According to the girl, Avesh promised love on the pretext of marriage and then physically abused her. He made a video of private moments. When the girl came to know about his real identity and started maintaining distance, Avesh started threatening her with those videos—I will make them viral, I will defame her. Blackmail continued continuously.
The girl gathered courage under fear and pressure. She told everything to the local people and some organizations. When Avesh came to meet her, people caught him, beat him severely and handed him over to the police. The police immediately took him into custody and started questioning.
Katara Hills police station confiscated Avesh's mobile. In the first investigation, about 40 obscene videos and many chats were recovered from the phone. According to police station in-charge Sunil Dubey, videos related to two more girls have also been found. Meaning she is not the only victim – perhaps other girls are also trapped.
Now the mobile has been sent for forensic investigation so that the whole truth comes out.
The police are fully engaged in the investigation. Avesh is being continuously interrogated and other possible victims are also being searched for. This case once again reminds us how big a threat fake identity can pose, whether online or offline. The most important thing is not to remain silent in such a situation, complain quickly.
Only by showing courage can such criminals be controlled.
