Bhopal: A very serious and heart-wrenching case has come to light from Bhopal. A minor 11th-class girl was physically assaulted in four different vehicles and then blackmailed by making a video. Money was demanded, and at times she was forced to have physical relations. Hearing this gives goosebumps. Police have so far seized four vehicles, including a Thar SUV.
The main accused is Ausaf Ali Khan (19 years old). He was arrested on 3 February and sent to jail. His associate Maaz Khan, who runs a gym in Bhopal (365 Gym), was caught on February 8. Currently he is on remand at Kohefiza Police Station till 13th February. Maaz Khan has made many shocking revelations during interrogation.
Seeing the seriousness of the matter, the Police Commissioner has formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT). Its command has been handed over to ACP Ankita Khatkar. Investigation revealed that the girl was raped at different places in four different vehicles. Police seized all four vehicles, including Thar. That was kept hidden in a village in Sehore district, it was also recovered.
Investigation revealed that once in the Thar vehicle, Ausaf raped the girl, while Maaz Khan was standing outside and secretly making videos with an iPhone. Later, about 40 thousand rupees were extorted through threats from that video. Forced to have a relationship several times by threatening to make the video viral. The accused broke the mobile and threw it in Ajmer, hence the phone has not been found yet.
Thar was recovered from Sehore village. The remaining three cars have also been seized. The mobile phone used to record the video has not been found yet – the accused had destroyed it. Forensic investigation is underway.
Investigation revealed that the accused was in contact with a head constable of Kohefiza police station, who was leaking confidential information. That policeman has been suspended. It seems very wrong for the policeman to be involved in such a thing.
SIT is investigating in full depth. Police say that the remaining evidence will be collected soon and strict action will be taken against the accused. This case is under the POCSO Act, and is raising big questions on the safety of minors in the city. The police have assured that the culprits will not be spared under any circumstances.
