Bihar Elections 2025: Voting for the first phase started at 7 am and a crowd of people gathered as soon as the polling booth opened. There was a lot of enthusiasm about voting among women, youth, and the elderly. So far, voting is going on peacefully under the supervision of the administration, and there are tight security arrangements at all the booths. As soon as the polling booth opened, a large number of people started arriving to cast their votes. Long queues are an indication that people are fulfilling their democratic responsibilities seriously.
Voters queued up early in the morning at polling booth numbers 329 and 330 of Khudgash village of Fatehpur Panchayat of Raghopur assembly constituency of Vaishali district. Elderly, women, and youth—every section of people showed interest in voting.
Voters were seen standing in queues at booth number 100, middle school Suro, located in the Bachhwara block of Begusarai. Many women came to vote with their children. The excitement of voting for the first time was clearly visible on the faces of the youth.
At booth number 364 of Paliganj, Dwarika Pandey, Nagendra Pandey, and Harendra Pandey showed their inked fingers after casting their vote and said that they first voted and then participated in the puja of their aunt's Shraddha. Their pride after voting is clearly visible in the pictures.
The administration has made extensive preparations for peaceful voting. Security forces are deployed at all the booths, and monitoring is being done from the control room. There was power interruption for some time at two booths of Marhaura, which was immediately rectified by the technical team. There is no news of any untoward incident from anywhere.
An elderly woman reached the polling booth with the help of a wheelchair at booth number 151 of the Bikram assembly constituency. This scene shows how much awareness the voters have about democracy.
