Major Setback For Mahagathbandhan In Bihar as RJD Candidate Shweta Suman's Nomination Rejected From Mohania Seat

RJD Candidate Shweta Suman's Nomination Rejected: Ahead of the upcoming Bihar elections 2025, the nomination of RJD candidate Shweta Suman got rejected from the Kaimur Mohaniya assembly constituency. After the nomination filing, during the scrutiny of the Election Commission, a flaw was detected in her form.

Reason of Shweta Suman's Nomination Rejection

Suman's nomination got rejected by the Election Commission as during the 2020 Bihar elections, she had shown her native place as Chandauli district, while in the 2025 elections, she mentioned her residence in Bihar.

Shweta Suman's Statement

In her statement, Shweta Suman revealed that she was called for the scrutiny. She added that the officials in advance only had a written decision in connection with the same. She stated that she was told that her nomination has been rejected and she could approach the court if she wish.

Further she alleged that the officials were not even interested to hear her arguments. She even aleged that the officials are under pressure from Delhi, staing a veiled jibe at the Election Commission.

She said, "Continuous pressure was being put on the RO and CO. They reportedly said that they were helpless, and the officials were also receiving constant calls from the DM. In a closed-door meeting, the RO reportedly said I am helpless. I cannot do anything." 

RJD candidate Shweta to approach court

Further, Shweta Suman had stated that she will approach the court in connection with this decision of the the Election Commission. She added that a complaint has also been filed as their were several irregularities in her nomination, as per her.
