Bihar Elections: Ahead of the Bihar elections, the Mahagathbandhan has commenced the media briefing today. During the press briefing, Mahagathbandhan selected RJD's Tejashwi Yadav as Bihar chief ministerial face.
The press briefing has been called as their disagreements over seat sharing continue ahead of the first phase of the Bihar elections.
Ahead of the press briefing, senior party leader Ashok Gehlot said, “The INDIA alliance in Bihar is fully united and is contesting the elections with strength. Tomorrow (October 23), the full situation will be clarified in the Mahagathbandhan’s press conference.”
After the announcement of Mahagathbandhan's CM face, it has announced VIP chief Mukesh Sahani as the deputy CM face of the Mahagathbandhan alliance for the Bihar assembly elections.
Senior Congress leader Ashok Gehlot today announced the name of RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav as the Mahagathbandhan's CM face in Bihar.
At the Mahagathbandhan press conference, CPI(ML) leader Dipankar Bhattacharya said, "... The people of Bihar have been waiting for the elections for a long time. This election is for the youth, farmers, women, and the poor... We want to assure the people that Bihar is ready... This Mahagathbandhan will fight unitedly to win the election..."
It is to be noted here that Bihar assembly election will be held in two phases on November 6 and 11. Meanwhile, the counting of votes will be done on November 14.
