Bihar: Man beheads wife over suspicion of affair, carries severed head to police station to confess crime

Bihar News: In a shocking and gruesome incident in Madhepura, Bihar, a man was caught carrying his wife’s severed head in a bag on his way to the police station. The accused, identified as Arjun Sharma from Pokhariya village under Srinagar police station, allegedly beheaded his wife, Pooja Devi, after suspecting her of having an illicit relationship.

Horrific discovery by the police

The police, noticing blood seeping from the man's bag, stopped him for questioning. When they opened the bag, they were horrified to find the severed head of his wife. Despite being stopped, Arjun insisted on narrating the entire incident at the police station. Upon reaching the station, he confessed to the crime, stating that he had killed his wife and was en route to the police station with her head in the bag.

Murder driven by suspicion

According to the police, Arjun Sharma had been married to Pooja Devi for over 25 years, and the couple had three sons. However, Arjun frequently quarreled with his wife due to suspicions about her loyalty. On the day of the incident, these suspicions escalated into violence, leading him to murder her in a fit of rage and behead her.
