Similar incidents in Patna raise alarms

This attack comes just days after another fatal shooting in Patna. On October 1, a property dealer was shot dead in broad daylight by criminals. The victim’s brother revealed that his sibling had been involved in a land dispute for quite some time, which had even led to a local panchayat being held to resolve the matter. Unfortunately, the conflict escalated, resulting in his brother’s murder. The police have registered the case and are currently investigating the incident.

Only last month, in another disturbing case, the BJP’s Mandal President Shyam Sundar Sharma, also known as Munna Sharma, was shot dead by bike-borne assailants in Patna City. Following this, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) was formed to probe the murder. CCTV footage led to the identification and subsequent arrest of one suspect, from whom the police recovered a country-made pistol and live cartridges.
