A shocking case has come to light in Chandpur town, where a youth named Arif Ansari allegedly trapped a Hindu girl in a love affair, repeatedly raped her, forcibly converted her religion, and plotted to marry her under Islamic rites and send her to Dubai. The conspiracy was uncovered just in time during passport verification. Police have arrested the accused, Arif, while Hindu organisations protested at Chandpur police station, demanding strict action.

According to the information, Arif Ansari runs a gas stove repair and sales shop in Chandpur. Three years ago, he grew close to a D.El.Ed. (Diploma in Elementary Education) student and then began sexually assaulting her.

In the complaint filed by the girl’s brother, it is mentioned that Arif threatened to make her obscene photos viral and exploited her multiple times. The accused allegedly created a fake Aadhaar card under the name "Jia Arif" and deceitfully converted her to Islam with the intention of marrying her. He even started the process of getting her a passport to send her to Dubai, but the plan was exposed during police verification.

Police investigation revealed that Arif had created a WhatsApp account and email ID under a Hindu name on his phone. Over 150 photos of girls were recovered from his mobile phone, many of whom are yet to be identified. Police also found evidence of his contact with two other girls, indicating the depth of his network.

Under the directions of the SP (Superintendent of Police), Arif's call details and bank accounts are being investigated. ASP Abhishek Jha stated that if any suspicious financial transactions are found, a case will also be registered under relevant sections of economic offences.
