Bomb Threat: Hyderabad-Bound Indigo Flight Diverted Due To THIS Reason

Hyderabad: Amid the mass cancellations, Indigo flight has received fresh scare, as its Hyderabad-bound flights was diverted due to a bomb threat. An IndiGo flight from Madinah in Saudi Arabia to Hyderabad was diverted to Ahmedabad on Thursday following a bomb threat, according to police officials.

As per the statement of Zone 4 deputy commissioner of police (DCP) Atul Bansal informed news agency PTI that IndiGo flight landed safely at around 12:30 PM, at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport. Soon the passengers and crew were deboarded for the smooth search of the plane.

He said, “When the flight was on its way to Hyderabad from Madinah, someone sent an email to IndiGo claiming that a bomb had been planted on the aircraft. Since Ahmedabad was the closest airport, the pilot decided to land here as a precautionary measure.”

Meanwhile, passengers at Jammu airport complain as IndiGo suffers flight are being delayed and cancelled. An IndiGo passenger said, "My flight from Jammu to Delhi has been delayed by around 4 hours. I don't know if the flight will go today."

Another passenger said, "The flight to Delhi, which was initially scheduled for 1030 hours, has been rescheduled to 1530 hours."

Another passenger, Mukesh Kumar Jaiswal, complaining about the IndiGo flight delays and cancellations, said, "... They said that your flight is delayed by 4 hours. He told me my flight would be here at 8 PM, but that's not final... They just told me to wait..."
