Saudi Arabia: In a shocking incident, at least 42 people were charred to death as a bus carrying pilgrims met with an accident after colliding with a diesel tanker near Medina, Saudi Arabia on Monday, as per the reports.

As per the local media reports in Saudi Arabia, the victims are said to be Indian nationals, with several reportedly from Hyderabad.

What Telangana government said?

After the tragic bus accident in Saudi Arabia, the Telangana government issued an official statement. In its statement, the Telangana government said it is in conversation with the Indian Embassy in Riyadh. As per the official statement, the state government stated that chief minister Revanth Reddy has asked officials in New Delhi to coordinate closely with embassy authorities.

What Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi said?

Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi expressing his grief on the bus accident in Saudi Arabia, said, "...Forty-two Hajj pilgrims who were travelling from Mecca to Medina were on a bus that caught fire...I spoke to Abu Mathen George, Deputy Chief of Mission (DCM) at the Indian Embassy in Riyadh, and he assured me that they are gathering information about the matter.''

He added, ''I have contacted two Hyderabad-based travel agencies and shared the passengers’ details with the Riyadh Embassy and the Foreign Secretary. I request the Union Government, especially EAM Dr S Jaishankar, to bring the bodies back to India and, if anyone is injured, ensure that they receive proper medical treatment.”
