Cardiac arrest stikes again: Class 3 student dies tragically in Gujarat school

Gujarat: Eight-year-old Gargi Ranpara collapsed and died on Friday morning. The death is suspected due to a sudden cardiac arrest.

Gujarat: At Zebar School, an incident that is tragic has been witnessed. Reportedly, Class 3 student Gargi had come to school healthy, but walking toward her class, she complained of feeling unwell and sat in the lobby. The CCTV camera recorded Gargi sitting on a chair, which she later lost consciousness after. Teachers and other students present observed this and began doing CPR immediately.

Tragic Outcome

After attempts at CPR in the immediate setting and a swift transfer to the nearest hospital, doctors declared Gargi had undergone cardiac arrest. Even though doctors could revive her, she could not be saved, and ventilator support had to be started before she eventually succumbed to death.

Investigation Ongoing

Following the sudden death, the police have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of death. Joint Commissioner of Police, Neeraj Badgujar, confirmed that Gargi’s body was sent for postmortem, which will provide further insights into the unfortunate incident.

Shock and Grief Among School Community

The school community is still in shock following the untimely death of Gargi. A visit from the Block Education Officer was finally arranged to consult with the staff of the school and the students to console them emotionally as well.
