Following the FIR, Chaitanyananda absconded. He stayed in several hotels in Vrindavan, Mathura, and Agra, but was unable to evade the police. Finally, the Delhi Police arrested him in Agra, produced him in court, and obtained a five-day remand. The priest is currently being rigorously interrogated. A female student has come forward and made shocking revelations about his misdeeds.
He would force some female students within the institute, who were close to Baba, to compromise. He would promise those who agreed to these conditions selection at Chaitanyananda Campus. Baba is so degraded that he installed cameras in the hostel as well as the washrooms, using them to monitor everyone.
The student said that if any student disobeyed Baba, he would torture them in various ways. On several occasions, when students disobeyed Baba, they were even kept in temperatures of -2 degrees Celsius as punishment. Baba exploited the students to such an extent that many students dropped out of school. Seventeen students have filed statements against Baba, following which action is being taken against him.
In another major breakthrough in the Swami Chaitanyananda case, police have arrested an associate of the Baba. The associate is accused of threatening the family of a victim at the Baba's behest. During a statement, a student stated that Chaitanyananda's associate called her family on September 14, 2025, and threatened them. Police have identified the associate as Hari Singh Kopkoti, 38, a resident of Bageshwar, Uttarakhand.
During initial police interrogation, Hari Singh Kopkoti revealed that he met Chaitanyananda last year. When the case was filed against Chaitanyananda, he had instructed Hari Singh to threaten the female students and force them to withdraw the case. Police have seized the accused's mobile phone and initiated action against him under sections 232/351(2) of the IPC. After questioning, the accused was released on bond.
After the police arrested Baba Chaitanyananda in Agra, several major frauds were uncovered. Police reported that two fake ID cards were found in Baba's possession, one claiming to be a permanent ambassador to the United Nations and the other claiming to be a member of the Joint Commission of the BRICS countries. Both ID cards are fake. Furthermore, the police also recovered two passports from Baba.
In one of these passports, his name is Swami Partha Sarathi, and in the other, Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati. The institute Baba runs began in 2008 when the land in Vasant Kunj where the institute is located was granted to the monastery. In 2008, Baba changed the institute's name without permission. Reports have emerged that Baba has also committed fraud of approximately 40 crore rupees at the institute.
