A new picture emerged in the Chandan Mishra murder case (Social Media)
National News: A brutal and daring murder inside a hospital has sent shockwaves across Patna. Chandan Mishra, a man with a long criminal history, was shot dead by a group of five men while he was admitted to the ICU of Paras Hospital. The shocking incident happened in the early hours of Thursday and was caught on CCTV, both inside the hospital and later outside as the killers fled.
Chandan was being treated in room number 209 of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Around 5 attackers entered the hospital building without fear and reached the ICU directly. Inside, they opened fire on Chandan, killing him on the spot. This kind of open violence inside a medical facility has left both citizens and officials in disbelief.
All five attackers were caught on CCTV inside the hospital. But what’s even more disturbing is a new CCTV footage from outside the hospital that shows three of them escaping on a motorbike. One of them is seen waving a pistol in the air, almost as if he was proud of what they had done. There was no panic, no rush – just cold confidence.
Police have identified all five accused involved in the murder. One of them, Tausif Raza, also known as Badshah, has already been arrested. He is a resident of Phulwari Sharif and is believed to be the mastermind of the attack. According to police sources, Tausif may have either taken money to kill Chandan or had a personal grudge against him.
The other four suspects are
All of them are believed to have played active roles in the murder, and police teams are now tracking them based on their location.
Chandan was not an ordinary man. He had over 24 criminal cases registered against him and was known in Patna’s underworld circles. He was admitted to the hospital for treatment, but no one expected such an attack to happen in a highly secured area like the ICU. His background has raised suspicions that the murder could be linked to gang rivalries or a revenge killing.
Police are investigating whether this was a case of gang war for control or a contract killing. Patna SSP Kartikeya Sharma stated that all shooters have been identified and multiple raids are being conducted. According to sources, Tausif is believed to be a contract killer and has a record under the Arms Act as well.
The incident has raised big questions about law and order in the city. How did five armed men enter a hospital and shoot someone inside the ICU? This has increased concerns about public safety and hospital security.
The police have assured strict action, and the interrogation of Tausif is ongoing. Authorities are determined to catch the rest of the attackers soon.
