New Delhi:The ongoing protest by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) at Jantar Mantar will reach a decisive turning point on Monday. The CJP has called for a 'Chalo Sansad' March on the first day of Parliament's monsoon session. Left-wing student organizations have deployed their full strength to ensure its success.

Emotional posts targeting students and youth are being circulated through the internet media, urging them to gather in large numbers at Jantar Mantar. Consequently, a large number of students and youth gathered at the protest site on Sunday, despite the scorching heat. People from Delhi and other states also attended.

From where will the protest start?

The protest, which will began from Jantar Mantar on June 20 to protest against the NEET paper leak and demand reforms in the education system, is being supported by left-wing student organisations like the Students Federation of India (SFI), All India Students Association (AISA), All India Students Federation (AISF), Birsa Ambedkar Phule Students Association (BAPSA) and Krantikari Yuva Sangthan, along with parties like the AAP, Congress and the Samajwadi Party.

When Sonam Wangchuk, who had been on a hunger strike since June 28, was removed on Saturday, only 150 to 200 people were present at Jantar Mantar, but since then, crowds have begun to gather. This trend, which began Saturday afternoon, continued on Sunday.

Following Sonam Wangchuk's hospitalization, CJP founder Abhijit Dipke has begun a hunger strike. Wangchuk had announced a march to Parliament on Monday, which the CJP has now begun to pursue. Dipke is urging people to reach Jantar Mantar through platforms and X-posts.

In a video message, Abhijit Dipke urged people to stay at Jantar Mantar overnight. Meanwhile, activists from left-wing student organizations and opposition parties are also gathering to energize the crowd. Many young people are joining the protest, holding the tricolor in their hands.

At Jantar Mantar, posters and banners were displayed at various locations, demanding improvements in the education system and protesting against the central government on various issues. 

The humid heat is worsening the condition of those arriving here. Many are even fainting. Consequently, people are returning after staying there for a while. Meanwhile, many people are distributing water bottles and providing food and drinks. Many people were seen fanning themselves with hand fans.
