Clothes ripped, head bashed with stone: 2 men allegedly assault Uganda woman in Delhi's Chattarpur

In a horrifying incident, a 27-year-old Uganda woman was brutally assaulted, molested, and robbed by two men in Chhatarpur Pahari area of South Delhi on late Thursday night. The woman was found laying on the road, semi-conscious in an injured state when police reached scene in response to a PCR call. 

What happened exactly? 

In Chhatarpur area of ​​Delhi, two boys robbed a foreign woman on April 25 at 11.45 pm. According to the woman, Uganda woman was going to her home. During this time, two boys were following him with a dog. The woman got scared after seeing the dog.

Meanwhile, both the boys took her behind the wall, molested her and tore her clothes. After this the woman's purse and ring were also snatched. On the complaint of the woman, the police have registered a case and arrested both the accused Kinnu and Rinku Kashyap.

Both are drug addicts

According to DCP South, both are drug addicts and earlier cases have been registered against them. Both work in a vehicle loading company. Around 12 o'clock in the night, a PCR call was received at Mehrauli police station regarding a woman injured on the road.

On reaching the spot, a 27-year-old Ugandan woman was found injured. After this the police team took him to the hospital for treatment. The woman told that she was going from Phool Mandi on 100 Feet Road, Chhatarpur Hill at around 10:45 pm.

During this time, two boys, who had a dog, were following him. The woman said that she was afraid of dogs. So he tried to stay away from the dog. However, the boys grabbed him from behind and pulled him to the other side of the wall. There was a dispute and they looted her ring and purse, which contained Rs 800. Before fleeing the spot, they also tore the woman's clothes and hit her on the head with a stone. 

Police action in this matter

Based on his statement, a case was registered under section 394/354B/34 of IPC at Mehrauli Police Station. Based on CCTV footage and local intelligence, the police identified the two accused as Kinnu and Rinku Kashyap. Both were arrested from Satbari village of New Delhi. Both of them are drug addicts and were in a mild state of intoxication even during their arrest. Further legal action into the matter is being taken.
