UP receives Rs 1 lakh crore investment proposals, signs Rs 60,000-cr MoUs during Singapore visit: CM Yogi (X/PTI)
Lucknow: In a major breakthrough, during Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's visit to Singapore, an important Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Government of Uttar Pradesh's investment promotion agency Invest UP and Singapore Cooperation Enterprise (SCE), an organization representing the interests of the Government of Singapore.
Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday said that the state has received investment proposals worth Rs 1 lakh crore during his ongoing visit to Singapore, adding that memoranda of understanding (MoUs) worth Rs 60,000 crore have already been signed.
Speaking on the second day of his visit, Adityanath said he held "positive and productive" discussions with Singapore's Deputy Prime Minister, Home Minister and Energy Minister on expanding economic cooperation and investment opportunities in Uttar Pradesh.
"Since Monday, UP received investment proposals worth Rs 1 lakh crore during Singapore visit. Till now MoUs worth Rs 60,000 crore have been signed," said CM Yogi.
"Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has made comprehensive progress across various sectors over the past 11 years. Following the same path of development, Uttar Pradesh has, over the last 8–9 years, worked to establish and expand these growth opportunities within the state. In this process, UP has made significant progress in infrastructure, logistics, and the service sector," said UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at a press conference.

On the contrary, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, spoke about the functioning of the UP government. Talking to the reporters Yogi said, “If we look at the functioning of this (UP) government, it cannot be understood in a single day. Looking back at the past 10 years, I recall that from the very beginning, this government has been misleading people. They appoint officials of their choice, make them act arbitrarily, and file false cases against political leaders.''
He further added, ''There is a long list of opposition members from the Samajwadi Party who have been jailed. Now, this government has crossed the line by targeting our revered religious leader, the Shankaracharya, not just ours, but one of the most revered figures in Sanatan Dharma. These allegations are both saddening and condemnable, and through this, one can understand the way this government functions…”
