National News: The tension between India and Pakistan has now entered the cyber war zone. After the terrorist attack on April 22 in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan has now run a dangerous move on the digital front. Pakistani hackers have claimed to hack the websites of several important defense institutions in India.
This attack is not limited to the website defessing, but it is expected to leak sensitive information related to the Indian Army and Defense Policy.
The Twitter handle 'Pakistan Cyber Force' has sensationalized that their group has accessed data from the website of the Military Engineering Service (MES) and Manohar Parrikar Defense Studies and Analysis (IDSA). Leaked data includes:
This is not just a hacking incident, but a conspiracy challenging India's strategic potential.
Hackers defended the website of Armard Vehicle Corporation Limited (AVNL). Not only the site was controlled, but also uploaded pictures of Pakistan flag and Al-Khalid tank on it. This action gives a clear message - Pakistan is now making cyber sector a new battle ground against India.
Soon after the incident, the affected websites were offered offline and a comprehensive cyber audit was started. The IT Ministry and the Defense Department have jointly ordered an inquiry. India's top cyber security agencies are using AI based danger identification techniques to prevent such incidents in future.
Cyber security experts believe that the attack is part of more psychological pressure than technology. Pakistan wants to give a message to India that it can also penetrate digital walls. But in reality it is India's cyber preparation exam - and India is ready for it.
The Government of India is not ready to take this attack lightly. The National Cyber Coordination Center (NCC), CERT-in, Joint team of the Ministry of Defense and IB is investigating the entire episode. According to sources, the cyber security structure will be fully redesigned in the coming days.
This phenomenon is a direct indication - the future battle will be fought within the server, network and data firewalls, not just on the border. India will now have to make digital security as well as a part of the war policy.
