National News: Delhi High Court Judge Sanjeev Kumar Singh: Delhi High Court has taken strict action against Saket Court Judge Sanjeev Kumar Singh, who is facing serious allegations of misconduct. This decision was taken in the full court meeting of the High Court held on 29 August. The Delhi High Court order clearly states that during the period of suspension, Sanjeev Kumar Singh will be kept away from court proceedings. During this period, he will only get subsistence allowance. Also, he will not be allowed to go out of Delhi without prior permission.

Sanjeev Kumar was working as a District Judge 

Before his suspension, Sanjeev Kumar Singh was working as a District Judge in Saket Court. He was hearing commercial cases and apart from this, he was also the Chairperson of the Residential Complex Committee of Saket Court.

According to sources, the allegations against him include some financial irregularities and trying to pressurize the lawyer in a case. The most serious allegation is that he pressured the victim to settle a sexual abuse case.

Decision to suspend after investigation

This case came to light when a complaint of pressurizing the victim was registered during the hearing of an appeal in the Delhi High Court. After this, the court sent the case to the Vigilance Registrar for investigation. After considering the investigation report, the full court meeting of the High Court decided to suspend Sanjeev Kumar Singh.
