Delhi crime news: In a shocking incident in North Delhi's Roop Nagar area, a woman named Jagtara allegedly severed her husband’s private part following a heated argument. The victim, Shambhu, aged 40, was reportedly attacked while he was asleep after Jagtara returned home at midnight.

This incident marks the third marriage for both individuals. According to local sources, the couple engaged in a minor argument earlier in the evening, which led Jagtara to temporarily leave the house. When she returned around midnight, she reportedly attacked her husband in his sleep, severely injuring him before locking the door from the outside and fleeing the scene.

Police search for the accused

The police have launched a search for Jagtara, who remains at large. Authorities confirmed that they are working to locate her and have taken statements from the husband, who is recovering from his injuries. “We are investigating the matter thoroughly and are actively pursuing leads on her whereabouts,” said a local police official.

Gender bias in public outrage

Despite the brutal nature of the assault, this incident has sparked little public outrage. Observers highlight a perceived gender bias in society’s reaction, noting the stark contrast in response had the roles been reversed. This incident raises questions about double standards in societal empathy and the lack of support for male victims in similar situations.
